The measurements are a guideline. I add more onion, pepper and celery and don’t use salt.
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 medium onion, ½ green bell pepper, 1 celery stalk
a few garlic cloves, minced
1 pound ground beef
15 ounces tomato sauce
¼ cup ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt & pepper
In a large skillet heat the olive oil. Add chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, chopped celery and garlic. Season with S & P and cook until vegetables are softened. Add ground beef to skillet, breaking up and cooking till browned. Add and mix in tomato sauce, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer until thickened, about 8 minutes. Spoon unto buns. Enjoy! Serves 4.
