Holley Gerth is a beautiful writer. Her words are softly spoken, gentle, compassionate and loving. She writes truth with grace. I’ve enjoyed many of her books.
In You’re Loved No Matter What, she addresses perfectionism. I think all women have tendencies toward wanting to be perfect. Whether as a wife, mother, looks, dress, careers and even in serving God, we want to do it right and perfect. Holley helps you see how much damage can be caused from trying to obtain perfectionism. There is freedom in being yourself and letting go of trying to be perfect.
The book is less than 200 pages but filled with simple, inspiring and encouraging words. There are questions at the end of the chapters and a guide at the end to go deeper in study.
I would recommend this book especially to teenage and college age girls to help them develop confidence in who they are in Christ and how much He loves them. It is for all Christian women, who want to grow more in grace and to experience freedom as we age.
