If you’ve been reading here for awhile, you know our story of moving from Ohio to Arizona then from Arizona back to Ohio.
You can find it by clicking here: Moving On.
Many have asked us how we have adjusted to returning after being in AZ for 25 years. Surprisingly, I adjusted right away but my husband took a little longer. Even with the snow, we are happy to be back.
It’s January, our 8th month here. In the winter. With snow. And cold. The cold can be brutal. We both forgot how cold really feels. If we didn’t have a dog to take out for walks, neither one of us would probably go out in anything below 30. We’ve had a little snow a few times but Friday, Jonas stopped by and brought us around 8 – 1o inches. It’s so very pretty and reminds me of all the fun as a kid; sled riding, snowball fights, building snowmen.
As the snow was falling, I thought about the Scripture that talks about our sins being as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. White is clean, pure, beautiful and perfect. When we ask for forgiveness and turn away from sin, we are clean, pure, beautiful and perfect, in Jesus’ eyes. Isn’t that amazing?
The temperatures have moved up and the snow is melting. It was nice to get out of the house today after hibernating for a few days. In AZ, we hibernated in the summer due to the high temps.
Do we miss Phoenix? Yes. We miss our friends and family, our church family, certain restaurants and shops. We miss the weather, our pool and hiking the desert. We don’t understand it but we know this is our purpose, divinely orchestrated, to be here.
When you are in God’s will, your life has peace and contentment.
If you are going through a time of waiting or wondering what next, hang in there. Continue to pray and seek Him. Pray His will be done.
He promises never to leave us and He is faithful to His promises. Trust.
Are you seeking a purpose in life? Are you content with your present circumstances? Sincerely trusting Jesus as your Savior will give you peace and contentment. This is our purpose. God created you for Him. You are His purpose and He loves you so much.
I would love to say a prayer for you. Feel free to send an email of any prayer requests.
