She was homeless and presented on the Humane Society’s TV program to be adopted.
She caught my eye, this little cutie pie.
I instantly knew she was mine.
So did 5 others.
The winner was a young girl and her mama. I was sincerely happy for them.
They told us to wait; sometimes things happen and change.
We left. I cried.
I felt so strongly that she was mine.
One year old, scared little pup. Housetrained, crate trained, perfect friend.
Oh well.
Then the phone call asking if I was still interested. What? Did I hear right? Lady is yours if you are still interested.
Yes! Oh Yes I am interested. She is mine. I just knew it!
Seems like it was yesterday but it’s been over 10 years. Ten years of walks, puppy kisses, hide-n-seek and joy with this little girl.
She makes me laugh and smile.
I knew she was mine the minute I saw her.
