I love New Year’s. It’s like a fresh start. A do over. I’ve made resolutions but like everyone else I usually fail before the end of the month. And that’s ok.
Every day with God is a fresh start.
My favorite Scripture is Lamentations 3:22-23:
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
Yesterday, I was a mess.
Yesterday, I was not nice to someone.
Yesterday, I knew I was supposed to call someone. But I didn’t because I was self-absorbed.
Yesterday is gone. It’s over. What’s done is done. Forget it.
As a Christian, I ask forgiveness for my sins, bad attitude and selfishness. I want to do better. Every day is a fresh start. A do over. Thank you Jesus!
For 2015 I hope to do More of This and Less of That.
First, some of the More of This:
Cooking, smiling, praying, listening, hiking, laughing, veggies, doing the Word, dates with hubby and vitamins.
And some of the Less of That:
Worry, soda, clutter, Facebook, emails, nagging, procrastinating, selfishness, judging, sugar and eating out.
There are so many more I could add but don’t want to burn myself out too early. 🙂
