In less than two weeks we will be on our journey across America The Beautiful. Seeing spacious skies, amber waves of grain and purple mountain majesties. From the desert in Arizona to the lush green hills in Ohio.
The first day our home was on the market we had 5 showings and 2 offers. Two weeks later the buyer pulled the contract due to unforeseen circumstances. Several showings later and several offers later we have another buyer and also a back up offer.
Life has been a roller coaster lately. And just like a roller coaster, it’s exciting, fun and scary with a few unexpected twists. But overall, things are going smoothly. We are ready to get going. We’ve been packing, selling, donating and tossing. It’s overwhelming since I love to be organized. So many times since the move process started I’ve had to stop, get alone and pray. My detailed brain was trying to organize each step of the sell of our home, the packing, the moving truck schedule, all the details that go with a move. I finally realized I need to relax and trust everything will work out. And it is working out.
Enjoy the journey and make it fun.
My sister keeps reminding me to enjoy this time and have fun, especially on our drive to Ohio. I’m looking forward to living closer to her and many other family members and long time friends.
We are thankful for the experiences and opportunities we’ve had while in Phoenix. Moving here was good for us in so many ways. We met some of the most amazing people and there are many we will miss dearly.
Many have asked how do we know this is God’s will for us. I’m not sure I could even explain how I know other than it just seems right. I don’t understand entirely why we are moving there. Living a life in Faith you don’t always know. Faith is unseen. Faith is Trusting. We go trusting this is God’s will for us as He has opened doors for us to go. Everyone and God knows I really dislike cold weather, so winter will be interesting. Maybe we’ll become “snowbirds” and go to a warmer climate for the winter. That sounds good!
We can’t believe we are doing this but we have never had any regrets along the way. It’s a huge step to take. We know it’s God’s plan for our life and we may never know why. And that’s OK. We trust in Him.
Thank you for following our journey.
I’m not sure when I will update next on my blog, but I will be posting our journey on my personal Facebook page, if you would like to follow there. https://www.facebook.com/barbaraannrepan
