The Natural Beauty of Red Rock in Sedona

March 2, 2016 by Barbara

Today I’m taking a little tour from the normal posts I usually share. I’ve been thinking of some of the places I have been fortunate to visit and this is one of my favorites;               Sedona, Arizona.

Sedona Arizona

The natural beauty of the red rock formations is simply beautiful and spectacular. While we lived in Phoenix, Arizona, we visited Sedona many times. I never got tired of it. Each time was like seeing it for the first time. Breathtaking.

Sedona is a beautiful drive from Phoenix, approximately 100 miles north. This city is a must-see on your visit to Arizona. I would recommend taking a helicopter tour or a jeep tour to get additional views of what Sedona has to offer.

Just Magnificent!

Some of the rock formations have names; Snoopy, Bell Rock and Cathedral Rock , to name a few. Our tour guide pointed these out to us on a jeep tour we had the pleasure of experiencing.

There is much to see and do in Sedona. There are hiking trails and  bicycle trails.  In town, you will have fun exploring the unique shops and galleries. Great food here too! Not far is the majestic Grand Canyon. And about 10 minutes from Sedona is Oak Creek Canyon which is part of the Coconino National Forest and described as the smaller cousin of the Grand Canyon.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this little tour.

Have you been to Sedona? Please share some of your experience.

If you have not, this would be one to add to your bucket list.

Welcome!

Hi Friend, Welcome to my corner of the online world, where I write to encourage and give hope. I believe everyone could use a dose of hope from time to time so whether you need hope for your marriage, your closet, or anything in between, I hope you find some encouragement here.

Having been through some hard situations, I understand what it's like to live hopeless, depressed, angry, and bitter until God rescued me in His Love and Grace. In Him, I found an Anchor to keep me safe and secure. My passion is to share how He has rescued me and give others encouragement, as He has for me.
