We breathe a prayer.
We journal our prayers.
We pray with others.
Others pray for us.
We pray before sleeping and pray when waking.
We pray waiting in traffic and waiting on results.
We pray when we’re sick.
We pray safe travels for a trip.
And of course, we pray in church.
When do we listen?
In order to hear our Heavenly Father, we need to slow down, find some quiet and listen. You may be thinking, how in the world can I slow down or find some quiet place to be alone with God? It can be done and once you do, you will look forward to those intimate times with your Father. In His presence there is rest, peace, calm and so much more.
God always hears and answers our prayers.
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.”
1 John 5:14
He speaks to our heart.
He speaks in whispers.
He speaks though His Word, The Bible.
He speaks through others.
He speaks through books.
He speaks in nature.
He speaks through music.
Why do we not believe He hears us, let alone answer? We feel He is busy with more important issues.
I don’t know how God does it, but I believe since He is God He knows what He is doing and how to do it. You and I are important to Him. He is attentive to me and to you. He hears us and answers. Always. May not be in our timing. May not be the answer we want. But He does. Always.
We can go directly to our Father in Heaven. He desires that we do. He longs for a relationship with you and me. Relationships are made by conversation. With God it is no different.
How can I pray for you today? Please feel free to email me from the contact tab at the top. If you know someone who may need some encouragement, please share my blog and/or Facebook page. My heart’s desire is to encourage and join with others on this journey of life.
