From the back cover, “Where Hope Begins” is the story of grace in the midst of brokenness, pointing us to the miracles that await when we look beyond our own expectations.”
Grace in the midst of brokenness is a beautiful thing and this story depicts it well. A story of brokenness from the loss of their child, Savannah and Kevin find themselves on the brink of divorce. They are dealing with heartbreak, bitterness, infidelity, to name a few of the sad portions of the book. Their story also has happy moments, glimmers of hope, joy, and the power of love.
Reading books is a way to learn and for me, this novel was one I learned about the strength of forgiveness through the lives of a couple ready to give up 20+ years of their life together. It started out sad and depressing but I’m glad I continued reading. It is a sad one, but ends well. The unexpected turns kept me reading when I needed to cook dinner or turn lights out for the night. The characters were will described and relatable.
I would recommend this beautiful story to those who have lost a child or battled depression or dealt with an unfaithful spouse or find it hard to forgive someone. Yes, it’s fiction but it could be a true story of someone’s life. Part of it was true in mine and I think that’s another reason I loved it so much.
A impactful story of redemption and love.
