Praying The Promises is a lovely book with Bible promises, guided prayers, and reflections to give the reader encouragement, peace, and hope in this uncertain world.
Pastor Max Lucado’s writing always inspires me. As I read through Praying the Promises I have a better understanding of the heart of our Father. When we reflect on His promises we gain a deeper love for God and an understanding of our security in Him.
I love the thirty promises chosen for this book. Inside the flap, “For every problem in life, God has given us a promise. We can find hope by praying those promises.” When I don’t know what to pray, praying the promises is a good place to start. His promises remind us God is for us, He loves us and walks with us through the difficulties of life. Some of the contents are: You are stamped with God’s Image; Troubles come, but so does God; God will guide you; Your prayers have power; The best is yet to come; Death is Temporary; Hope is an Anchor for your soul.
Live a life of unshakable hope as you experience a more intimate prayer life and a deeper faith in the god who keeps every promise.
I would recommend this book to those who are strong in their faith and those just starting their journey of faith. The hardback edition is beautiful and would be a nice gift.
