That symbol has so much meaning to me. The symbol of the anchor reminds me that Jesus is my hope and He alone anchors my soul. The anchor also reminds me of my Navy dad, who I lost several years ago. In a previous post, I wrote about the meaning of Hope as an Anchor HERE.
In Hebrews 6:19, Paul, the Apostle says, “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.”
Jesus never fails. Jesus has kept me secure through cancer, twice. He has been my security in uncertain times of my life and especially in the current state of the world. He wants to be your anchor too.
How does Jesus become our Anchor? First is trusting Him to be your Savior and Lord. Pray the sinner prayer below and begin living your life walking with Him.
Dear Heavenly Father, I confess I’m a sinner and ask your forgiveness. I believe in your Son, Jesus, and believe He died for my sins. He rose from the dead and was ascended to heaven. I invite Jesus into my life and want to live my life trusting Him to be my anchor of Hope. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
I would love to know if you prayed that prayer so I can pray for you. You can email me at Barbara@BarbaraAnnRepan.com
God Bless
